All equal in Art (for the attention of soup throwers)

Who has found the courage to attack a work of art unable to defend itself ?
Probably the only species that could stand up and free its hands.
What do you do with
your hands?
With these unique tools, can you
make something materially useless that has no biological or physical function?

The rest is HERE

(A first explanation of the technique of eye-tracking in drawing or painting is at the bottom of the commentary)

The "Argonautis" naval architecture page is now animated and with sound : ("Humpback whale talk")

A cleaning operation of the first page is scheduled for the coming days. Some links between pages may be temporarily affected.
Scenario updates are also lagging a little behind. As the written word is infinitely faster than 3D design, the pen sometimes has to slow down to wait for the images. On the horizon for summer 2024, a ten-minute trailer. Compositing-oriented. A "narration / 3D / real images" trio. Then, possibly filmed images to be inserted into this canvas.

Art?
You, the aggressors, enlightened and passionate beings, can't ignore it.
Is that what drives you?
Not a hobby that you do when you feel like it, that you decide to pull out of your drawer at a set time, no, a passion (or several).
A Phoenix that burns and takes control of your mind whenever it feels like it.
One that never sleeps and inspires you when everyday life is empty of imagination.
We're sometimes born with this flamboyant bird dear to the ancient Greeks, which slumbers for a while, wakes up to burn intensely, disappears, then suddenly rises from its ashes.

Art abusers, what do you create?
You don't draw, you don't paint, you don't write stories, you don't play instruments, you don't sculpt?
In front of the Mona Lisa, do you photograph nothing but yourself in brilliant selfies, or only your loved ones on vacation?
And without hands, no theater, no cinema, no singing, no opera?

Nothing, part of it, all of it?

And even if you did none of these things, would you be prevented from enjoying art? Or letting those with a taste for it appreciate it?
Art is socially useful, of course; it's even vital for a species that has detached itself from the mere necessities of subsistence to structure its thoughts, beliefs, philosophy, morals, good and evil, right and wrong.

Mâat, justice and rectitude for Pharaonic Egypt. The oldest of our battles.
You are campaigning for social justice in the food sector and for a return to economic equilibrium for producers, who have been left behind by economic development. Excellent.
Who's against it?
Blockades of access to major distribution centers, demonstrations, occupations of intensive production sites, and so on. So many ways to fight this battle.

Art is only free in regimes that recognize it as a superior value.
Others forbid singing; for them, even birdsong is obscene.
Sometimes (often) it expresses itself against the systems that protect it.
For it is the image (literally and figuratively) of freedom of expression, of the material uselessness essential to any democracy, which does not distinguish among its own according to opinions or passions. All equal in art.

Are you provoking a power that, in your opinion, is deaf to your demands by sullying art, the symbol of freedom to exist, with (for) works that are simply beautiful?
Constable's dozens of bucolic landscapes, or those transfigured by Turner's genius, duelists in style, the "twin giants of artistic romanticism" for our friends across the Channel. You know them, of course.
They had the same values as you defend.
Do you know the average economic level of artists? They're not all lucky enough to realize their passions and then broadcast them to the public, or have them produced.
Rather than attacking their fragile values, do you have any soup left over to defend them?
How many hours of hard work for just a few seconds?
Talent alone is not enough.

So attacking art and culture is your modus operandi.
Do you like the great infernos where books are thrown out to the chants of dark shirts holding out their arms?
Is there such a thing as "degenerate" art for your soup?
The morons are legion.
But all legions have been defeated, including the mythical Legio IX Hispana.
You're doing your cause a disservice by encouraging morons who will one day, through stupid imitation, tear up a Titian, a Velasquez or...there are so many geniuses who deserve the recognition they often never got in their lifetime.
Like Vincent Van Gogh, whom you love so much... I know! Me, sir! Me!...over there at the back of the class, Me!

It's okay...I've seen you, put your arm down...go ahead...

He was the one painting with a knife!...but...he didn't have a fork...
That's him with his ear cut off. He painted water lilies...no, dancers in tutus...uh, no, a raft with bewildered sailors...no, Ha...dripping watches!...no (Oh, what the hell!...aren't there too many of those sometimes?).

Do you want to fight for a cause?
Times of peace are slipping away and the legions are coming back. Do you want to take them on?
Throw them your soup! Then...they'll be dead.
Laughing.
And quickly call for help from the children of the Nation who are fighting to save what allows you to defile the Mona Lisa. Freedom of expression.
You morons, our equals in rights, whose expression of ignorance of art must be protected in the same way as respect for those under attack.
Drive the cowards from your ranks, for they despise the fruit of this creation, so demanding for those who toil to bring it to life.

And leave the Mona Lisa in peace.
Do you know the importance and complexity of her gaze, the geometrical efforts it imposes on the mind?
No ?
With soup on your eyes, of course, it's harder to understand.

Here are 3 drawings I made (a bit quickly): Click on the drawing opposite:
Print this sheet, then move it from left to right,
right to left. Top to bottom, bottom to top. Move closer, almost touching the right edge of the sheet with your left cheek, then look to the far left...is it blurred?
Who's looking at what, where? (1,2 and 3)
Can you meet their eyes?
Yes, no, why not?
Can you guess
these very different geometric techniques?
Are you sure? All right, then.
You'll just have to do it then.

But why did Da Vinci deliberately modify these geometric rules for the Mona Lisa? It's not a Polar. PolArt?
How many days or nights of eye-weary work to achieve this?
Please help yourself to some of your soup, in honor of Leonardo, whose genius you insult.

I'll be back in a while to talk about it. Maybe you will.
If the Phoenix asks me
to write it, even if I don't really want to.
To create is sometimes to try to reach a goal and miss it, without being able to do without it. Then it's time to work and start again. Good or bad, that's the way it is.
To flood the Mona Lisa's face, even behind glass, is to despise the work of all creators, whom you consider a mere receptacle for your own filth.
Why not spray the Kremlin? What "gueule" that would have, panache!
No, it's far too risky.

At the Louvre we're civilized, we respect the rights of morons, we don't risk anything serious by offending art.
Cowards.
Will you fight with us to preserve the French temple of art
the French temple of art?
I doubt it.
Fortunately, without you, I'm creating a Celtic village, with one eye on the Louvre.
A place where I can rediscover the past when I voluntarily lose myself in the present in the streets of Lutetia.

thanks to my Welsh supporters, whom I salute and thank in passing, especially for... their incomparable national soup "Welsh cawl !
