Art?
You, the aggressors, enlightened and passionate beings, can't ignore it.
Is that what drives you?
Not a hobby that you do when you feel like it, that you decide to pull out of your drawer at a set time, no, a passion (or several).
A Phoenix that burns and takes control of your mind whenever it feels like it.
One that never sleeps and inspires you when everyday life is empty of imagination.
We're sometimes born with this flamboyant bird dear to the ancient Greeks, which slumbers for a while, wakes up to burn intensely, disappears, then suddenly rises from its ashes.

Art abusers, what do you create?
You don't draw, you don't paint, you don't write stories, you don't play instruments, you don't sculpt?
In front of the Mona Lisa, do you photograph nothing but yourself in brilliant selfies, or only your loved ones on vacation?
And without hands, no theater, no cinema, no singing, no opera?

Nothing, part of it, all of it?

And even if you did none of these things, would you be prevented from enjoying art? Or letting those with a taste for it appreciate it?
Art is socially useful, of course; it's even vital for a species that has detached itself from the mere necessities of subsistence to structure its thoughts, beliefs, philosophy, morals, good and evil, right and wrong.

You are campaigning for social justice in the food sector and for a return to economic equilibrium for producers, who have been left behind by economic development. Excellent.
Who's against it?
Blockades of access to major distribution centers, demonstrations, occupations of intensive production sites, and so on. So many ways to fight this battle.

Art is only free in regimes that recognize it as a superior value.
Others forbid singing; for them, even birdsong is obscene.
Sometimes (often) it expresses itself against the systems that protect it.
For it is the image (literally and figuratively) of freedom of expression, of the material uselessness essential to any democracy, which does not distinguish among its own according to opinions or passions. All equal in art.

Are you provoking a power that, in your opinion, is deaf to your demands by sullying art, the symbol of freedom to exist, with (for) works that are simply beautiful?
Constable's dozens of bucolic landscapes, or those transfigured by Turner's genius, duelists in style, the "twin giants of artistic romanticism" for our friends across the Channel. You know them, of course.
They had the same values as you defend.
Do you know the average economic level of artists? They're not all lucky enough to realize their passions and then broadcast them to the public, or have them produced.
Rather than attacking their fragile values, do you have any soup left over to defend them?
How many hours of hard work for just a few seconds?
Talent alone is not enough.

So attacking art and culture is your modus operandi.
Do you like the great infernos where books are thrown out to the chants of dark shirts holding out their arms?
Is there such a thing as "degenerate" art for your soup?
The idiots are legion.
But all legions have been defeated, including the mythical Legio IX Hispana.
You're doing your cause a disservice by encouraging morons who will one day, through stupid imitation, tear up a Titian, a Velasquez or...there are so many geniuses who deserve the recognition they often never got in their lifetime.
Like Vincent Van Gogh, whom you love sooooooooo much... I know! Me, sir! Me!...over there.... at the back of the class, Me!
